How to Share a Lesson Catch-Up Link

Missed a class? With the catch-up link, teachers can easily share lessons with students who were away.

What is a Catch-Up Link?

A catch-up link lets teachers send students a view-only version of a lesson that’s already been delivered. It’s designed to help absent students review lesson content independently.

⚠️ The catch-up link is only available to schools with device access, where students have their own Wellio logins.

If your school uses Wellio device-free, you won't see the Share catch up link option.

How to Share a Catch-Up Link with Students

  1. Open the lesson you’ve already started or delivered from your class page
  2. Click the ⋮ menu next to Present, then click Share catch up link:

  3. Copy the link that appears and send it to any students who missed the class:


⚠️  Note: This is only available for lessons that have been started or delivered, and cannot be generated beforehand. Students using this link won't be able to answer questions or interact with the lesson.


Can't see the "Share catch up link" option?

Check the following:

  1. Has the lesson been started? Before the lesson is started, Share catch up link is greyed out in the ⋮ menu. Hover over it to see "Catch up link will be available after the lesson has been started". Start or present the lesson first.
  2. Does your school have device access? If your school uses Wellio device-free, Share catch up link won't appear in the ⋮ menu at all. Students need their own Wellio logins to use a catch-up link.
