This pre-built Wellio lesson is designed for admins to deliver during your staff training session. Customise this lesson to fit your school’s unique needs and values, ensuring teachers get the most out of their training.
This lesson will:
- Introduce teachers to the Wellio platform
- Provide an overview of their role in your school's program
- Demonstrate how to run a Wellio lesson
- Highlight key features and best practice tips
Step 1. Access the lesson
There are two ways to access, edit, and present your staff training lesson.
1. Via your Onboarding Checklist
Navigate to the Getting Started tab to find the "Customise Your Staff Training Lesson" to-do
Select Edit lesson to bring up the slide editor.
2. Via your Wellio Settings:
Navigate to your Settings page, and then select Trainings from the panel on the left
Select Customise to bring up the slide editor
Step 2. Preview the full Staff Training Lesson
Before customising, select Preview to review the lesson in its entirety to understand the structure and content that is already included.
Step 3. Use the lesson editor to populate the slides with your school-specific information
Customise the following slides to tailor the session for your school:
1. Success Metrics
Having a shared understanding of what "success" looks like for your school has a huge impact on outcomes. Use this slide to:

Share your school’s key challenge areas and wellbeing goals.

Highlight the specific measures of success that your school will track in 2025.
Top tip: Only Admins can see the full Progress Dashboard. Let teachers know that throughout the year you will be able to review the progress of lessons for each individual class as well as individual student responses
2. Why we bought Wellio
We know how many tools teachers already have to manage and how overwhelming it can feel to juggle them all!
Use this slide to:

Explain how Wellio aligns with your school’s goals and values.

Highlight how the platform supports both student and teacher success.

Share insights on how Wellio’s data and tools will be used to help your school drive impactful changes.
Top tip: When teachers log in they only see the “Classes” tab but may not be aware of how much work goes on behind the scenes! Let them know that their lessons have been hand-picked and customised especially for them and their students.
3. What does that mean for you?
Providing classroom teachers with an overview of your plan for the year is a great accountability tool! This not only shows teachers the content they will be delivering and when, but also how their lessons fit within the context of the whole school's program.

Outline how teachers can share insights or request support from your Wellbeing Team.
Top tip: Teachers are closest to the action and their insights are invaluable for shaping improvements! Encourage teachers to share their thoughts regularly, ensuring they know that Wellio's flexibility makes it easy to quickly use their feedback to drive meaningful change.
Step 4. Save your custom slides
Once your edits are complete, click Save to save the lesson to make sure it’s ready for your staff training session.
