Getting Started for IT teams

Welcome! This guide is for school IT teams setting up Wellio – an online platform supporting student wellbeing. To ensure things run smoothly in class, please complete the actions prior to before your school’s scheduled rollout date.

🧠 What is Wellio?

Wellio is an online platform that helps students in Years 7-12 build lifelong wellbeing skills through teacher-led digital lessons.

This guide is for school IT teams setting up Wellio for the first time. Your role is to ensure the platform works smoothly for teachers and students by completing a few technical steps ahead of your school’s rollout.

The setup process is simple and typically takes less than an hour. Once complete, classroom staff will be ready to run engaging, interactive lessons without interruptions.

✅ IT Setup Checklist

1. 🔐 Set Up Single Sign-On (Most urgent)

Setting up SSO allows staff and students to log in using their school credentials – no new passwords required.

• We support SAML2-compatible providers like Google Workspace, Azure/Office 365, ADFS, and most department-wide systems

• This step is required before students and teachers can access the platform

2. 📧 Whitelist Wellio

Please whitelist the domain wellioeducation.com in your school’s email and web filtering system.

This ensures users can:

• Receive activation and login emails

• Access the platform in class without restrictions

3. 🎥 Check YouTube Access

Wellio lessons include short YouTube videos. To avoid playback issues:

• If staff already have unrestricted YouTube access – no action needed

• If access is restricted, please whitelist our video links

Note: You may need to forward this step to your relevant Department (e.g. NSW DoE, SA Education) or external IT provider.

4. 📂 Submit the Bulk Enrolment File

To ensure classes, teachers, and students are preloaded and ready on day one, submit your school’s enrolment CSV.
