[For Admins](https://help.wellioeducation.com/for-admins?hsLang=en) # How do I edit or remove an assessment? ## Change an assessment's dates or lessons, choose which questions are included, or delete an assessment you don't need. Assessments are managed under ***Insights***, not in your sequence. This article is for **admins**. If you're a teacher, ask your school's Wellio coordinator to make these changes. ### How to remove an assessment You won't find assessments as tiles in your sequence, which is why there's no ***Hide from classes*** option. To remove one, delete it: 1. Click ***Insights*** in the top navigation bar, then select ***Assessments***. 2. Find the assessment and click the **⋮ menu** at the end of its row. 3. Select ***Delete assessment***, then confirm. The assessment is removed from every class on that sequence. 🔔 **Deleting an assessment also permanently deletes any student results collected so far, and can't be undone.** If students have started, [download the results](https://help.wellioeducation.com/where-do-i-find-assessment-results?hsLang=en) first. ### I didn't add this assessment - where did it come from? Wellio can schedule assessments for your school, so you may find some you didn't set up yourself. You're welcome to change the dates and lessons, or delete any you don't want. ### How to change an assessment's dates or lessons 1. Go to ***Insights*** → ***Assessments***. 2. Click the **⋮ menu** next to the assessment and select ***Edit assessment***. 3. Make your changes and click ***Next*** until you reach the end, then click ***Publish***. ### Why can't I change something? What you can edit depends on how far the assessment has got: - **After publishing:** the assessment type is locked. - **Once the pre-assessment is running:** the academic year, sequence and pre-assessment date are locked. Any changes you make to the lessons will only show up in the post-assessment. - **While the post-assessment is running:** ***Edit assessment*** is greyed out. Open a class on that sequence, click ***Lock*** on the post-assessment, then try again. This stops students in every class on the sequence from answering until it's unlocked again. ### Can I edit the questions? You can't edit or delete individual questions in Wellio, but you can choose which lessons they come from. Each question belongs to a lesson, so unticking a lesson removes its questions: 1. Follow the steps above to edit the assessment, and click ***Next*** to reach **Select lessons**. 2. Untick any lessons you don't want to include, then continue to the end and click ***Publish***.
