How do I unsubscribe from email notifications?
If you're receiving weekly checklist reminders from Wellio and would prefer not to get them - or the unsubscribe link in the email isn't doing what you expected - here's how to stop them depending on the type of checklist you're assigned to.
Unsubscribe from the Getting Started Checklist (For Teachers)
These are personal onboarding checklists that appear when you first join Wellio.
To stop the weekly email reminders:
-
Mark all tasks as complete in your Getting Started checklist:

-
Once everything is completed, the notifications will automatically stop.
You can find your checklist by clicking on Getting Started from the top navigation menu.
Unsubscribe from the Onboarding Checklist (For Admins)
These are shared onboarding checklists for schools, visible under the Tasks page.
To stop the weekly email reminders:
-
Option 1: Complete all tasks assigned to you. Once completed, reminders will stop.
-
Option 2: Remove yourself from the checklist.
🔔 You'll only receive reminders for tasks that are incomplete and assigned to you. If you're seeing reminders for tasks owned by other people, reach out to Support.
I'm getting reminders for tasks that aren't mine
If you're an admin receiving weekly checklist reminders, but when you open the checklist none of the tasks are assigned to you, you've likely been added to a school's onboarding checklist as a member without any specific task ownership.
In this case, the standard "complete your tasks" path won't apply - there's nothing for you to complete, but you're still on the notification list.
The unsubscribe link in the email isn't working
If you clicked the link in your reminder email and it didn't take you anywhere useful — or it took you to your checklist but you couldn't find anything to unsubscribe from — the most common reasons are:
- The tasks in the checklist aren't assigned to you (see I'm getting reminders for tasks that aren't mine above).
- You're signed in to a different Wellio account than the one receiving the reminders. Try signing out and back in with the email address the reminder was sent to.
- You've already completed your tasks, but the next weekly reminder hadn't yet been suppressed. Reminders stop after the next weekly cycle once your tasks are complete.
