How to Create or Add a Sequence

Make the most of the Wellio Library by tailoring a personalised series of lessons to accommodate the specific requirements of your cohort.


Before you get started:

Each class is allocated to a single sequence in Wellio for the year, which dictates the lessons and activities visible to teachers and students in class. Moving a class across multiple sequences (e.g. creating one sequence for each term) will lead to progress loss. 

  1. Options for Getting Started

    • Create new - Start with an empty sequence and add your own lessons

    • Copy existing - Bring across the sequence(s) you used last year as your starting point

    • Use a template – Choose a curated set of recommended lessons as your starting point

Step-by-Step: Creating a New Sequence

  1. From your Home screen, click the Sequences tab in the top navigation bar.

    You'll be able to select between two different views using the Calendar / List toggle in the top-left corner.
    1. List View – shows one sequence at a time.
    2. Calendar View – shows how lessons are spread across the year
  2. Click the New Sequence button in the top right:

  3. Choose how you'd like to create your sequence:

  1. Click Create New:

  2. Enter the sequence name, year level(s), and academic year:

  3. Click Save

 

🔁 Copy Existing

  1. Click Copy Existing:

  2. Select the sequence you want to duplicate:

  3. Click Copy x to [current academic year]

 

📋 Using a Template:

Wellio templates are a fast way to get started. You can always customise them later.

  1. Click Use a Template:

  2. Filter by year level(s) and choose how many lessons you want in the sequence:

  3. Browse matching templates

  4. Click Use this template

Lessons from the template will appear in your sequence. You can add, remove or rearrange as needed.


Can I get a sequence that fits how often I teach wellbeing?

Yes. Templates aren't labelled weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Instead, you pick a template by how many lessons it has, and that sets how often you'll teach.

    1. Click Use a template.
    2. Filter by your Year level, then by Lessons count. Find one that fits your timetable:
      • Weekly, all year: About 35
      • Fortnightly, all year: About 20
      • Monthly, all year (or twice a term): About 10
      • Weekly, for one term: About 10
      • Fortnightly, for one term: About 5
    3. Click a template to preview its lessons, then add it to your sequence.
    4. Add or remove lessons to match your timetable exactly. See Add Lessons to Your Sequence below.


    Add Lessons to Your Sequence

    1. Click Lessons on the left-hand side to add lessons to your sequence

    2. Search in the Search content box, or click the filter icon to filter the lessons by category, year level, and author

    3. Drag and drop as many lessons as needed across the term, into your sequence

    Adding Activities or School Events to Your Sequence

    1. Click Events on the left-hand side to add events to your sequence. Here you can add in Assemblies, Guest Speakers, Workshops, Public Holidays, Exams, and other events on your school's calendar.

    2. Edit the details of this activity by clicking the tile to open its details.

    3. Personalise this tile by changing the colour, title, description, or adding a link.

    Adding Surveys and Assessments

    The left-hand side also has Survey and Assess tabs.

    • Click Survey, then + New survey. Follow the steps to set up a survey.
    • Click Assess, then + New assessment. Follow the steps to set up an assessment.

    Can I download or print my sequence?

    Wellio doesn’t currently support downloading a sequence (for example, as a PDF or file), and there’s no dedicated “Print Sequence” function. However, if you’d like a hard copy, you can switch to List View, then press Ctrl + P (or Cmd + P on a Mac) to print the page via your web browser.

    Please Note: This layout isn’t optimised for printing, so formatting may vary depending on your browser settings.

    1. Click the ⋮ menu next to the sequence name

    2. Select Download Workbook

    3. Choose the term.
