Common Errors & Fixes:
Teacher email '...' is not valid
What it means:
The email address is incorrectly formatted — it’s missing an @
or domain, or includes a typo.
What to do:
Fix the email so it follows the standard format: name@schooldomain.com
.
Teacher email 'another@school.com' is assigned to another school
What it means:
This email address already exists in Wellio under a different school account.
What to do:
Double-check the email is correct. If the teacher should belong to your school, contact Support to help reassign them. To continue with the upload, you can delete the relevant row from the CSV file, re-upload, and we can add in the missing teacher manually.
Teacher email 'janedoe.com' does not match any of the accepted domains for teachers: hogwarts.com, trinity.com, snape.com, dumbledore.com, and wellio.com
What it means:
The teacher’s email doesn’t use one of your school’s approved email domains.
What to do:
Update the email to use a domain approved for your school. If the teacher uses an external or multi-school address, contact Support.
Teacher(s) 'Anna White, Robert Black' does not match the existing teacher(s) 'Phil Johns, James Brown' assigned to the class 'Class 3'
What it means:
The list of teachers assigned to a class doesn’t match across different rows in the file.
What to do:
Ensure the teacher names and emails are the same in every row where that class appears.
Student email 'student-h@notwellio.com' does not match any of the accepted domains for students: weasley.com, hogwarts.com, potter.com, granger.com, and wellio.com
What it means:
The student’s email doesn’t match your school’s approved domains.
What to do:
Update the email to use a domain approved for your school. If this is incorrect, contact Support to add or update this.
Duplicate student email 'student-e@wellio.com'
What it means:
The same student email appears more than once in your CSV upload.
What to do:
Remove duplicate entries. Each student should only appear once in the file.
Student year level 'Year 10' does not match the class year level 'Year 11'
What it means:
The student’s individual year level doesn't match the class year level listed for their class.
What to do:
Make sure the student is only added to a class that matches their actual year level. If the class is multi-year, ensure the class year level field includes all relevant years (e.g. 10;11
).
Class name is a mandatory field
What it means:
The "Class Name" field was left blank.
What to do:
Add a value under Class Name. Every row in your CSV must include a class name so the system knows which class the students or teachers belong to.
Class Year level 'x' is not valid
What it means:
The year level entered doesn’t match Wellio’s accepted format or values.
What to do:
Check the Class Year Level field. Only numbers 7–12
are valid. Use semicolons (;
) to separate multiple year levels (e.g. 7;8
).
