Sometimes the videos we include in Wellio's lessons from YouTube, or the Wellio platform itself, might be blocked by your school's internet filters. Here's a solution to get you online in no time.
Why this matters
Wellio lessons often include curated videos to support learning and engagement. If these are blocked, students may miss key content in class. Most schools' internet filter has a feature called an 'exceptions list'. This is like a VIP list for websites - any site on this list can be accessed, even if the general rules of the filter would normally block it.
What to do
✅ Download the latest list of approved video links
We maintain a live-updated list of all video links currently used in Wellio lessons. This includes:
-
YouTube
-
YouTube Shorts
✅ Add the links to your school’s internet filter
Your IT team can upload or paste the links into the school's filtering system under the “exceptions list.” This will:
-
Allow only these specific videos to load
-
Keep other content restrictions in place
-
Ensure your students don’t encounter blank or blocked video players during lessons
Additional Notes
-
Safe and secure: Adding these links to your school's exceptions list will not grant Wellio any access to your network or compromise your school's filtering rules.
-
Wellio Admins: You can also download the video links CSV from your Settings > Video Links page in Wellio:
🚨 Note: If you're having trouble receiving Wellio invite or login emails, your IT team may also need to whitelist wellioeducation.com in your email filter settings.
