Why hasn't my lesson been marked as delivered?

If a lesson is showing as "Missed" or not done after you've run it, or you've had an email saying you missed a lesson you taught, here are the most common reasons.

How does Wellio track lesson progress?

Wellio marks a lesson as Delivered based on active lesson time - not simply whether the lesson was opened. You don't need students to answer a quiz or poll for the lesson to count as delivered.

Status Active time
Delivered ✅ 20+ minutes
Started 💬 10–19 minutes
Planned / Missed ❌ Less than 10 minutes

The lesson must remain your active browser tab while presenting. If you click away (e.g. to open another file or email), the timer pauses.

Make sure to click back into the lesson screen so presentation time continues tracking.

Using two screens? The timer also pauses when you click into a different window, even on your other screen. For example, it pauses while you take the register or log behaviour on a second monitor, even though the lesson is still showing. After using the other screen, click once anywhere on the lesson so it starts counting again.

What if my class doesn't use devices?

In Device-Free mode, student responses aren’t tracked. The delivery status still depends on presentation time. There's no attendance to mark. Present the lesson the same way, and keep it as your active tab.

💡 Tip: Always finish presenting the full lesson to ensure it’s recorded correctly.

Can I mark a lesson as delivered or done myself?

No. There's no manual override, and no attendance option to tick. Wellio can only record lessons you present in Wellio. If you taught the lesson from your own slides, or students answered the questions on paper, it won't be marked as delivered and may show as missed.

Had an email saying your class missed lessons you delivered? Open your class page and check each lesson's status. Next time, present the lesson in Wellio so it's recorded.

I’ve followed all the steps, but my lesson still isn’t marked as delivered?

If you believe you completed the lesson fully but it’s still not marked as delivered, please contact support@wellioeducation.com and include the teacher's name, the class name, the lesson and the date you taught it.
