How do teachers run Wellio Surveys in class

Your Wellbeing leader will set up Wellio surveys to measure the impact of your wellbeing program on your students' mental, emotional, and social health skills. These are run in class by teachers.

Strong participation is key, which is where you come in!

Insights will identify strengths and opportunities, while subsequent surveys will assess program impact and guide next steps by suggesting lessons.

Ensure your class’s voice is heard by following these 3 steps:

Step 1: Prepare Your Students

  • Consider pre-teaching Survey Language: Before students begin, pre-teach language & provide examples where you see fit. See the full surveys at the bottom of this page.

  • Set Expectations: Make it clear that this is a wellbeing skills survey, not a test, to encourage honest responses.

  • Likert Scale Explanation: Inform students they will be answering statements using a scale: Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Neutral, Agree, Strongly Agree.

Step 2: Ensure Account Access

  • Wellio Account Activation: Students can access the survey via a banner, after logging into their Wellio account, provided they’ve already activated. A survey email invitation is also sent.
  • Resend Invitations: If students haven't activated their accounts, resend invitations via "Manage Students." Advise them to check spam folders for Invite Instructions.
  • Password Reset: For students who previously activated their accounts but have forgotten their credentials, you can reset their passwords through Manage Students.

Step 3: Survey Completion & Monitoring

  • Login and Complete: Ask students to log in, locate Start Survey and work through the questions. Encourage them to ask questions if they need examples or clarification.
  • Monitor Progress: You can track their progress from your class page.
  • Submission is Key: Remind students that they must answer every question & click Submit at the end.
