Reviewing Student Progress

As a teacher, you have the ability to track and review the lessons that have been delivered to your class.

The data available to review will depend on both the mode of lesson delivery and the level of student engagement. This guide is divided into three sections to address the different methods of reviewing a lesson:

1. Lessons delivered in full with active student participation in activities.

2. Lessons delivered in Device-Free Mode.

3. Lessons not delivered in Device-Free Mode but the students haven't responded to questions in the platform.

Lessons delivered in full with active student participation in activities

1. Click into your Wellio class and into a lesson which has been completed:

2. Click into the review tab:

3. Review the students responses to different questions and activities:

View the classes responses to quiz questions:

  • Click on Show responses to view the number of students who selected each quiz response choice.

View the students responses to open answer questions:

  • Click on Show responses to view the students responses to the open answer questions.
  • Use the arrow to move between student responses.

Reviewing progress when a lesson is delivered in Device-Free mode

When teachers present a lesson without students engaging through their own devices, the lesson progress will reflect the active time the teacher has spent within the lesson presentation.

The platform can not track each individual student's progress if you present the lesson in device-free mode. We encourage teachers to only use Device-Free Mode in the instance where most or all students do not have access to their own electronic device.

When reviewing completion for Device-Free lessons in the Progress Dashboard, a text bubble will pop up when you hover over the "Started" or "Delivered" icon for a lesson.

Once the lesson has been delivered, the lesson itself will be marked as 'Delivered'.

Completed classes will be indicated by a green checkmark once they have been presented in full:

Lessons not delivered in Device-Free Mode but the students have not respond to questions or complete activities

Lessons marked as "Started"

If the teacher has spent between 10 and 20 minutes presenting a lesson, it will be marked as "Started". If no students engage with the questions, progress data for that lesson won't be available.

Lessons marked as "Delivered"

If the teacher has spent more than 20 minutes presenting a lesson, it will be marked as "Delivered". If no students engage with the questions, progress data for that lesson won't be available.

Review mode cannot be accessed if students have not participated in any questions, polls, or activities.

The "Review" tab allows educators to review students' responses to poll questions, activities, and open-ended questions.

When lessons are delivered as a presentation the students do not respond to questions on their own devices. The "Review" mode is only accessible when students respond to the questions on their own devices. Simply seeing the "Started" and "Delivered" banners does not necessarily mean that there is data available for review.
